App-controlled Physiotherapy Device
This project was a proof-of-concept prototype for a a group of physiotherapists with the idea to make a digital hip stretcher for physiotherapy sessions. This device would be programmed for a controllable force, speed and angle at which the lever arms stretches the hip.
I developed the first prototype for them that involved medium-torque DC motors, plastic lever arms and wireless control through an app. The list of electronics included; limit switches, 12V power supply, Arduino Board, WiFi Module, Dual H-bridge 2A Motor Drive and 2 12V DC Motors. The limit switches were installed on a 3D-printed hard stop and all the wires were insulated through heat-shrink tubes for ruggedness.
